Free Student Meals for the 2024/25 School Year
Lake Shore Public Schools offers free breakfast and lunch to all students thanks to the Michigan School Meals Program! Even though meals will be provided for free, it is vitally important for families to continue sharing household income information for all our schools in the district to receive full access to federal and state funding for educational programs that our students are entitled to. EVERY Education Benefit Form (EBF) COUNTS! Every EBF that is not submitted means lost educational programs and resources for our students. Filling out the EBF may help provide:
-Health & Wellness Services
-Before and After School Academic & Enrichment Programs
-Guidance & College Counselors
-Fee Waivers for College Applications & Admissions Test
-Resources for Classrooms, Teachers & Children
Education Benefit Forms (EBF) can be filled out by accessing the Lake Shore Family Portal (online & recommended) and through this link (paper copy). A new EBF form needs to be filled out each school year, one per family. Completed forms should be returned to your child's school.
Chartwells Dining Service, a division of Compass Group, USA, provides Lake Shore Public Schools Food Services. They manage the department that provides meals and nutrition education services to the students and faculty throughout the district.
Our goal is to serve up happy and healthy meals while making the cafeteria the happiest place in school.
