P2 of the Week: Bravery

This is the image for the news article titled P2 of the Week: Bravery🧩 Under the guiding principles of our districtwide initiative, the Positivity Project, the #PositivityinAction mindset is our top priority. This week we will focus on the character strength of BRAVERY.

People with the character strength of bravery act with mental, moral, or physical strength even when they know things are difficult or scary.

Veterans Day, observed on November 11, is a time to honor the brave men and women who’ve served in the U.S. Armed Forces—and the families who have stood by them.

Captain Karen Vargo, Post Commander Randall Schafer, and Sargent Thomas Cornfield from the VFW Bruce Post Ritual Team participated in a special flag ceremony at Lake Shore High School, joined by 4th graders from Rodgers Elementary and a few LSHS classes. Henry Hulvey, Bentley Salisbury, and Matthew Frank, the official Rodgers Student Flag Crew, assisted along with LSHS Senior Class President Ashley Geib. Together, they paid tribute to the strength and sacrifice of our military community.

Veterans and their families often face unique challenges—long separations, frequent moves, and the emotional toll of service. As a school community, we are committed to supporting them.
