Personnel Dedicated to Supporting Student Well-Being

  • 2 Assistant Principals: Responsible for overseeing student discipline and support services.
  • 2 Deans of Students: Focused on behavior management and student conflict resolution.
  • 2 Administrative Interns: Assisting with various administrative tasks related to student well-being.
  • 7 Guidance Counselors: Providing academic, personal, and career counseling to students.
  • 9 Social Workers/Social Work Interns: Addressing social and emotional needs, and providing support to students and families.
  • 4 Medical Assistants: Assisting with health-related concerns and promoting physical well-being.
  • 3 Behavior/Instructional Coaches: Supporting students with behavioral challenges and helping teachers implement effective strategies.
  • 2 Attendance Liaisons: Encouraging regular school attendance and addressing attendance-related issues.
  • 1 Board Certified Behavior Analyst: Specialized support for students with behavioral disorders.
  • 2 Behavior Technicians: Assisting students in developing appropriate behavior and social skills.
  • 1 Multi-Tiered System of Support Administrator: Ensuring the implementation of effective interventions for students.
  • 1 Therapy Dog: Offering emotional support and comfort to students, promoting a positive atmosphere.
  • 7 School Safety Officers/School Resource Officer: Overseeing safety and security measures

  • OK2SAY: Collaborating with the statewide anonymous tip-line for reporting safety concerns.
  • Care Solace: Providing access to mental health resources and support for students and families.
  • CARE of SE Michigan: Offering substance abuse prevention and mental health services.
  • Macomb County Crisis Center: Assisting in crisis intervention and mental health emergencies.
  • Positivity Project: Integrating character education and positive psychology into our curriculum to enhance students' social and emotional skills.
  • Upstander Program: Designed to engage students in a meaningful, relevant conversation about negative social behaviors that lead to bullying.
  • Community Service Projects: Designed for self-worth and purpose development

Security Measures and Emergency Responses

  • Secured entrances and interior doors
  • “Wand” weapon and metal detectors
  • Lockdown Training/Practice/Drills
  • Shared Surveillance Access with SCS PD
  • Emergency kits and designated “safe spots” in all classrooms
  • “Panic Button” emergency alert direct to SCS PD at all buildings
  • Secured, locking interior and exterior entrances
  • Building and Floor Plan Review and active assailant training with SCS PD
