Our Major Fundraisers:
- Collecting General Mills Box Tops and Tyson Labels. Tyson can be found on the boxes or plastic bags. Our first Box Tops collection is on October 22, 2010.
- Target and Meijer credit cards: As a target or Meijer charge card holder, specify Violet Elementary as your school of choice. When you charge purchases, a percentage of the sale is donated to our school. Please contact the store’s service desk for an application or for further information.
- Third Annual Fun Walk will be held October 1 2010.
- Spring Fair and Auction, to be held in March 26, 2011.
- Ice Cream Social: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011
- Market Day fundraiser: Orders will be picked up between 3:30 p.m. & 4:30 p.m. on pre-determined Tuesday dates at Violet. Please see the list of pickup dates below. Anyone can order online and use Violet as their pickup school. The Market Day Chairperson is Kim DeCruydt. You may e-mail Mrs. DeCruydt at kdecruydt@yahoo.com.
Goals and Accomplishments:
- The Violet PTC raises over $27,000 each year to fund a variety of programs, including assemblies, field trip travel expenses, the year-end picnic, student and staff recognition programs, etc., to enhance the educational and social experiences of Violet students.
Latest News:
- We like to recognize students who exemplify the LifeLong Guidelines and Life Skills by making them our Life Skill Heroes. They have their picture displayed on our Life Skill Hero Board outside of our school office.
- We also like to recognize our Accelerated Reader (AR) readers. Students read books, take computer-generated quizzes and earn points. When our students reach the 5-point club, they have their picture taken and are on our AR board. We have a Classroom Battle of the Books two or three times a school year.
