Superintendent's Office
How to address questions or concerns
From time to time, issues of concern and questions arise from parents and other members of the community. The following outline provides an overview of accepted practice, in Lake Shore and elsewhere, in addressing such issues.
- Go to the source. For example, if the issue is relative to the classroom, please speak with the teacher; similarly, if it is an issue to do with athletics, please speak with the coach.
- If you still have concerns, please speak with the appropriate building administrator, e.g. Assistant Principal and/or Principal, on classroom and other related issues, the Athletic Director for athletic issues.
- The next level would be to contact the Administrative Center , where your concerns would be addressed by the Superintendent or designee.
- Ultimately if you are still concerned, you have the opportunity to make a presentation to the Board, where the Board will determine a direction and/or decision.
We believe that by following this outline we can best address questions and concerns.
