Schools Of Choice

Students First at Lake Shore

From Kindergarten through our graduating seniors, Lake Shore students are a part of a strong school system that works hard every day for the benefit of our students. We live by our motto,"We build successful futures for all - one student at a time."
We understand what is important to families when they choose a school district. Lake Shore students consistently have strong MEAP/MME scores. Our teachers utilize the latest technology in the classroom to track individual student progress throughout the school year. Our Professional Learning Communities allow teachers to share “best practices” that lead to continued student success. We also utilize an online Parent Portal to keep parents informed.
At the elementary level, students have daily enrichment opportunities and are provided support through intervention, Title One, and special education. Students also enjoy a full calendar of extracurricular activities and field trips at every grade level.
Our middle and high school are home to award winning athletics, fine and performing art programs. Lake Shore opened the doors to a foreign language school and dormitory in 2011 to facilitate our growing exchange program. We are fostering relationships with China, Germany and Spain to support our foreign language curriculum. This will give students the opportunity to not only learn the languages, but get a cultural experience that will help them compete in today’s global society.
Students at the high school can receive training in CAD, dental careers, computer science, web design, building trades and video production. Lake Shore offers dual enrollment opportunities for students to earn both high school and college credit free of charge. Our graduating seniors earn over $1.5 million in scholarships annually.
Macomb County families seeking a quality education for the K-11 students are invited to apply to Lake Shore Public Schools through the School of Choice program.
