Varsity Tutors Scholarship Contest Description
Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students must write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. Entries are reviewed by Varsity Tutors at the end of the month and one winner is subsequently chosen to receive the $1,000 college scholarship. Interested students can enter the contest here: http://www.varsitytutors.com/college-scholarship
Our scholarship is open to students who are 16 years of age, or older, and the funds must be used for this school year.  Generally speaking, it is intended for seniors, however there is nothing keeping a junior from applying and (if they are chosen) using the funds over summer at a community college or for dual-enrollment toward early college credit.  There are certainly some very motivated juniors out there!
