Employment Services consists of mediated service staff and facilitators that assist youth and adults facing barriers to employment into the labor force. We provide customer-driven job training and other employable support services such as posting resumes and job searching on the Michigan Talent Bank.
The department also offers weekly instructional/informative sessions such as Resume Writing, Interviewing, Cover Letters, Job/Internet Searching, and COBRA/HIPAA Insurance information. Customers may also use our Resource Room with employment tools such as the Assistive Computer Station, books/references related to employment, daily area newspapers, employer directories, professional resume software, internet searching, free faxing and business related telephone use.
Employers in the business sector can also benefit from our services. We offer support to aid employers in regarding how to search for prospective workers and enter job postings on the Michigan Talent Bank Web Site and how to search for prospective workers. We have access to labor market information, including employment rates, wage data, employment outlooks, and labor force statistics.
